Fiorentina midfielder Sofiane Amrabat has revealed that he likes Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone’s style of playing.
The Moroccan midfielder was outstanding at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, helping the team reach the semi-finals of history. It has become of interest to many clubs in Europe.
Asked by journalists in Qatar about interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Amrabat admitted he liked Simeone’s style.
“I am proud to have been link to top clubs like Barcelona and Atletico. But as a Fiorentina player, I respect the club and have a good relationship with the president,” Amara said. Bat said
“We have a good coach at Fiorentina as well, but yes, I like Cholo’s style.”
Meanwhile, Foot Mercato reports that Amrabat is interest in a move to Liverpool. With the player expected to cost around €40-50m.
Amrabat has family ties with LaLiga, with his brother Nordin Amrabat having played for the likes of Malaga and Leganes, and he is not ruling out a future move to Spanish football.
“I’ve been [to Spain] a lot, and I’ve seen a lot of matches at La Rosaleda,” he added. “There is a great fan base and a great atmosphere. The Spanish league is one of the best competitions in the world.
“It is strong like the Premier League. Italy is too. I may one day play there. I’m 26 years old, no one knows what the future holds.”
